Arctic Impressions: Iceland

Journey Through Landscape is pleased to present Arctic Impressions: Iceland, featuring the
photographic work of Evan Anderman and Eliot Porter. This final show in a three part exhibition series will include fifteen photographs by Evan Anderman as well as Eliot Porter’s Iceland, Portfolio II of twelve dye-transfer prints. 

In the Fall of 2012,  Evan Anderman had the opportunity to make photographs on an expedition to the Arctic. The tour visited three distinct geographic regions in the North Atlantic: Spitsbergen, Greenland, and Iceland. The Arctic Impressions exhibition series explores the sites encountered on that expedition.

And from Eliot Porters famous series Iceland II, A revelation of the color and majesty of Iceland s primordial landscape, as seen through the eyes of the master photographer.

Opening Friday, March 1 from 6-9pm. and runs through April 27, 2013. 

An additional reception will be held on First Friday, April 5, 6-9pm.

Gallery hours are Thursday 12-6pm or by appointment.

Special Event:
On Saturday, March 16th at 1pm, Eric Paddock, Curator of Photography at Denver Art Museum, will lead a discussion on the work of the two artists in the exhibition.
This event, held at the gallery, will be free and open to the public.
