Lecture: Duane Michals

Thursday, March 7, 2013  ( 7:00pm – 8:30pm )
Denver Art Museum's Lewis I. Sharp Auditorium

Duane Michals Lecture at Denver Art Museum brought to you by DU's School of Art & Art History, the Photography Department at the Denver Art Museum, and the Colorado Photographic Arts Center.

Internationally-renowned photographer and DU alumni Duane Michals (b. 1932) discusses his eight-decade life and career as a self-described "expressionist." Blurring the lines between photography and philosophy, Michal's imagery encompasses iconic text-and-image sequences, commercial portraiture, and most recently Japanese-inspired compositions coupled with Haiku poetry.

The Denver Art Museum is located on 13th Avenue between Broadway and Bannock Streets in downtown Denver.
