Greetings,

This message marks a beginning of many new things: a new phase of work, as I transfer my darkroom to a new studio in Lancaster, New Hampshire; begin practicing albumen printing; start a blog on my website; and send out messages like this one. And it’s accompanied by a releasing of prints made over the last twenty-one years. A first installment of silver gelatin prints is now listed and available in the Shop, along with a selection of pictures realized as pigment ink prints in a separate section.

I wish to express my express my gratitude to everyone who has supported my photography through attending my exhibitions and open studios, purchasing prints, publishing pictures, and offering friendship in many ways over the years. Though my work has been more quiet in the last years as I’ve been developing and utilizing different skills— designing websites for artists, and digitally capturing Maurice Sendak’s original drawings and preparing the files for reproduction by offset lithography— I am a photographer nevertheless, and continue working with view cameras and film.

My website has been enlarged to include a blog, the journal, and if you choose to remain on this list, the first post should reach you before the New Year. It’s on my experience of printmaking— a bit of a process statement, a little bit of a treatise, and a personal account, for as much as I carry this need to express the images I can see, those inside of me, it is the print that brought me into this work.

I send you warm wishes for a beautiful holiday season, a time of great inner light.
