Diné (Navajo) artist Will Wilson will discuss how his photographs challenge classic portraiture of Native Americans, such as work by Edward S. Curtis. Utilizing a combination of historic tintype and contemporary digital processes, Will creates documents that reposition the indigenous image through a photographic exchange with his sitters.

Doors open at 5:30 pm, lecture at 6 pm. Tickets are $5 Douglas Society members, $10 DAM members, $12 others. Reservations required by March 26, payment of cash or check will be taken at the door.
