Anthology Fine Art - Ted Engelmann - LECTURE

One Soldier’s Heart
Photographs by Ted Engelmann

Exhibition runs from March 1-30, 2013
Opening reception on Friday, March 1st from 6-9pm

Anthology Fine Art will be exhibiting the evocative but personal photographs of Ted Engelmann.

The term “Soldier’s Heart” was first used during the Civil War to describe the physiological effects of war on soldiers.

As an Air Force Sergeant assigned to support US and Vietnamese soldiers, Ted Engelmann served a year tour of duty in Viet Nam from March 1968 to March 1969. To better understand the emotional wounds of war, “Soldier’s Heart,” Ted combines photographs from his war 45 years ago, traveling throughout Viet Nam the past 24 years, and images of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as an embed freelance photographer.
